“Slave Labor” Being Used to Fight California Fires- Prisoners Risking their Lives for…… $1 an hour
First of all, the most shocking part about these fires is that there are multiple reports of people setting the fires on purpose. That is insane and could, in some cases, be seen as a form of terrorism.
Another shocking revelation about these fires is that hundreds of prisoners are being used to fight the fires. They are paying them $1 an hour. Holy shit!? First of all, these people are not trained firefighters. They do not know how to fight massive fires and keep themselves safe in such situations. Second, $1 an hour? To risk your life to fight fires that have already killed many people and left hundreds missing? Hopefully as we raise awareness on this it will end.
