Things to Consider When Working Out in the Gym

And yet most people don’t remember these simple guidelines

How to Wipe Down Equipment

When wiping down machines and equipment, wipe where your head was first and where you butt was last. No reason to be spreading butt sweat all over the place. And it would be nice if you didn’t spread that butt sweat where someones head may go after you.

Look Around

Look around before you use equipment or machines. Most people don’t stand around and guard their workout area. Look around and see if anyone is nearby or could be taking a break. We’ve all seen those awkward interactions where it is two dudes trying to communicate with headphones on explaining how one of them was there first. Avoid all of that. Look around.

Don’t Hog

Don’t hog multiple machines at once. This doesn’t need much explanation. It’s not cool.

Going to the gym is already weird for many people. Most of us there aren’t comfortable and most of us wish we were somewhere else. Let’s work together to make the experiences of others a bit more comfortable. Basically, we are all in the same boat and we all have similar goals while at the gym. A little consideration goes a long way.
